The Tuscan Vow Renewal of Eduardo + Valeria

I wasn’t expecting to be too emo editing this, but man, I cried like a baby editing this footage. We get to capture vows all the time, but as “wedding cinematographers” we’re always capturing vows as their initially made – we don’t get to see vows lived out. That is what made our destination renewal with Ed and Val so special. The vows they made to each other 10 years ago are lived out. They’ve been tested.  Their vows have endured the good and bad, sick and well, and they’re still living their vows every day. And will you look at this footage? They still act like freagin’ honeymooners, I mean really! hahahah! What an inspiration.

Marriage is a grand adventure but I really believe the rewards begin when you move past the honeymoon phase and into the quiet times. The still times. The normal and familiar times. The difficult times. The times when you can sit in silence with your spouse and just be. There’s adventure in the familiar and spontaneity in the predictable. I think that’s the wonder of marriage – it doesn’t quite make sense all the time, but it’s incredibly rewarding. Marriage is GOOD. Promising to love an imperfect person as perfectly as you can is GOOD. Raising a family is GOOOD. Trials are inevitable, but marriage,  it’s SO good. Ed and Val are such a beautiful picture of what marriage is.

This film features locations all over Tuscany and Amalfi Coast. Getting ready moments and first look occurred in Sienna. Ceremony took place at Borgo Santo Pietro, with bridal portraits at the Abbey of San Galgano. Additional adventure portraits and cityscapes are in Vico Equense, Sorrento, Positano, and Capri. Special thanks to Sam (Sam Hurd Photography) and Nessa (Nessa K Photography) for the amazing partnership. Shooting alongside you two was incredibly inspiring and so much fun. Valeria’s bridal attire is from Solutions Bridal.
