There was only one way to start this film.
Ben’s reaction to Kelly walking down the aisle was probably our favorite of the season. Not for the simple fact that he was emotional, though that is beautiful enough – but you can see in his eyes, his breath, his vulnerability, the deep and profound love he has for Kelly.
Their wedding was not only a celebration of their union, but it expressed fully the wonder and beauty of marriage. They both come from long legacies of marriage – both parents have been married 35+ plus years. That’s over 70 years of wisdom, not counting their grandparents! Isn’t that amazing?
The details of their wedding day further honored their families, with Kelly wearing a veil passed down through generations. Also, they honored their parents and grandparents by dancing to “their songs” during the reception. Even the cake recipe was passed down from Kelly’s great grandmother. Goodness, we can’t tell you how much we loved that. How precious it was for us to capture the beginnings of Kelly & Ben’s legacy.
