There’s no way I’m posting this video without sharing Erica + Kevin’s story…
During Erica’s music therapy internship at Florida Hospital Orlando, she kept seeing this guy everywhere she went in the hospital. She thought he was pretty cute and even told her coworkers about him, but Erica being a bit shy, could never bring herself to speak to him. She was so shy in fact, that she even set a New Year’s resolution to speak to him – Operation “stop being shy and talk to the guy I always see at the hospital”. lol. She then wrote about him in her prayer journal.
The DAY after Erica wrote about Kevin in her journal, Kevin was literally sitting outside the Music Therapy office at her internship. Seizing the opportunity, she walked by without saying a single word. haha! Yes…she let the moment pass completely! But wouldn’t you know, just a week prior to her internship ending, Erica found herself crammed on a elevator with Kevin, and rather than her having to speak to him, Kevin spoke to her and introduced himself. The rest is history, as they say. A year and a half later, Erica walked down the aisle to became Kevin’s wife.
As we approached Kevin and Erica’s wedding day, we became great friends. We never felt like we were working on their wedding day. Every moment, from the prayer that Kevin wrote Erica at the top of the day, to the wedding vows…we just felt so privileged to be present. Filming was a bonus for us. We laughed when Erica opened her gift from Kevin thinking “BEST. GIFT. EVER.” because anyone that knows Erica, knows her love for gelato and ice cream! When Kevin lost his breath at the first sight of his bride , we too lost our breath because we were able to capture a small fraction of how much he loves her.
We’re so grateful for the friendship that has formed with Kevin + Erica. It means a great deal to us to share stories like theirs.
