Every time we happen to film somewhere or something new, we find ourselves saying “This is the new favorite.” We came to a realization after Aislinn + William’s Smith Rock elopement. Having the type of wedding that “you want” is always our favorite
We found ourselves constantly in awe by the history of Edinburgh and the tradition that Aimee + Steve intentionally brought into their wedding week. It was a treat for everyone that had a part including the many guests that traveled thousands of miles to witness their union.
Michael and Alysse are everything you would think of when the words power couple race through your mind. Mike – professional athlete, Superbowl champion. Alysse – published author, brilliant recruiter and businesswoman. They’re an incredible pair. However, what we left their wedding day marveling at was their undeniable commitment to their faith.
We get to capture vows all the time, but as “wedding cinematographers” we’re always capturing vows as their initially made – we don’t get to see vows lived out. That is what made our destination renewal with Ed and Val so special. The vows they made to each other 10 years ago are lived out. They’ve been tested. Their vows have endured the good and bad, sick and well, and they’re still living their vows every day.
Elaine and I know beyond a fraction of a doubt we will never film a wedding like Jaclyn + Jorge’s again, and that’s what we love most about their wedding day. The deep love these two have for each other, as evidenced in the beautiful exchange during their first look, shouts louder than all the beauty and splendor that Aspen, Colorado could have possibly brought.
This was the first of many Colorado weddings for KEJ, and it’s no coincidence that Amado + Alyse was the first.
Erika & Michael…First of all, is this not the most beautiful couple you’ve ever seen?! I mean, really! There are so many wonderful things we can say about Erika & Michael. They traveled from New York to wed in the historic and beautiful St. Augustine, Florida. They brought with them guests from all over the world.
There was only one way to start this film.
Ben’s reaction to Kelly walking down the aisle was probably our favorite of the season. Not for the simple fact that he was emotional, though that is beautiful enough – but you can see in his eyes, his breath, his vulnerability, the deep and profound love he has for Kelly.
Laura was an absolutely gorgeous bride, and it’s no surprise Zack lost his composure as she walked down the aisle. Laura + Zack’s wedding day was filled with love, laughter, and celebration.
You know what I love about John and Hanna’s wedding day? It was about them. It wasn’t about flowers, or venue, or cake – although those things were great and they were beautiful, John and Hanna’s wedding was about John and Hanna. It was focused on their story, and the covenant they made to each other that beautiful November day.
